Can I download Border yet?
Border is still in early development. The local app launcher and AI service settings are being tested; a public download and open-source release will come later.
Do I need AI to use the launcher?
The local app launcher works on its own. Search and open applications without setting up an AI service. Conversations and agent workflows are part of the direction we’re building toward.
Can I bring my own AI service?
Service settings currently support one OpenAI-compatible service. You choose the address and store your API key in macOS Keychain. A connection check reads the service’s model directory; AI conversations are still to come.
What happens in this website preview?
The app search runs against a small list of examples in your browser. The AI answer and agent plan are illustrations of planned features. The preview doesn’t call AI services, open applications, or run tasks.
What about privacy on this website?
This site has no analytics, advertising, sign-up forms, or tracking cookies. Fonts and page assets are served from this site. Cloudflare delivers the website and processes the request information needed to do so.
